How it works

How the Hair & Scalp Quiz Works

The quiz organizes observable patterns; it does not calculate disease probability.

Inputs and scoring

Questions 1–7 add predefined weights across pattern-like thinning, shedding, breakage, traction, scalp symptoms, focal change and priority-review signals. Question 8 personalizes the action-plan emphasis but does not change classification.

Safety routing

Specific reports such as sudden change, a distinct bare patch, crusting or oozing, or unusually smooth and shiny bare skin can override the ordinary category. The result then emphasizes prompt professional identification and suppresses sponsor inventory.

Known limits

The V4 model is a transparent educational rule set, not a validated clinical instrument. Scores show relative quiz evidence, not percentages, prognosis or severity. Results depend entirely on the answers supplied.
